December 11-15 Homework

 
Monday, December 11
1. Spelling- write sentences for FIRST 10 spelling words
2. Reading- packet AND read 15 minutes for reading log
3. Math- hw pages for lesson 4

4. Social Studies- pages 96 and 97 in book
* Please check with your child for any Islamic Studies/ Turkish/ Quran homework.

Tuesday, December 12

Thursday, December 14
1. Reading- read 15 minutes 
2. Vocabulary- worksheet AND study words for test tomorrow
3. Spelling- 3 times each AND study words for test tomorrow
4. Grammar- worksheet AND study for test tomorrow  
5. Math- worksheet
* Please check with your child for any Arabic/ Turkish  homework. 


Friday, December 15
1. Writing- write 2 paragraphs (at least 5 sentences in each paragraph) on journal topic
2. Math- worksheet, test next Wednesday

3. Reading- read 15 minutes 
4. Science- study for test next Thursday
* Please check with your child for any Quran/ Islamic Studies/ Computer homework.

* Parents need to sign tests so students can return them on Monday.
* Empty out homework folders of ALL graded papers. Only new homework and tests should be in homework folders.
*The teacher holds the right to change homework assignments. Students will be told in advance if any changes will be made.

December 11-15 Tests



Thursday, December 14

Unit 3 Week 1 Comprehension Test
This test will mostly focus on problem and solution AND synonyms with some questions on previous learned topics. Students should look over all graded papers on these topics to prepare. 


Friday, December 15


Unit 2 Week 5
1. Spelling/ Vocabulary Test
Students should study using their Spelling/Vocabulary "cheat sheet", spelling notebook, or graded worksheets.

2. Grammar Test
Students should review all the rules that are listed in the textbox on top of their grammar worksheets for this week.  


*The teacher holds the right to change test dates. Students will be told in advance if any changes will be made.

*If students are absent on a test day, they should be ready to take the test the day they come back to school.


*Parents MUST sign all graded tests and return them as soon as possible.

November's Student of the Month

One student in 3rd grade will be chosen by me (Sr. Sabrina) every month this year to be the Student of the Month.

December 4-8 Tests


Thursday, December 7

1. Unit 2 Comprehension Test (covers unit 2 weeks 1-5)

Students will take half this test on Thursday and will finish the other half on Friday. A total of 4 periods will be given and should be enough time for students to complete all the multiple choice and short answer questions.

We will review in class and students will also receive homework to review. Students should look over all graded papers to prepare. They should also continue to read every night to improve their reading and comprehension skills.

Friday, December 8
