November 13-17 Homework


Monday, November 13
1. Spelling- write sentences for FIRST 10 spelling words
2. Reading- packet AND read 15 minutes for reading log
3. Math- worksheet

4. Social Studies- study for test on Thursday
* Please check with your child for any Islamic Studies/ Turkish/ Quran homework.

Tuesday, November 14
1. Spelling- write sentences for LAST 10 spelling words 
2. Reading- packet AND read 15 minutes  

3. Math- lesson 1 homework pages

4. Social Studies- study

Wednesday, November 15

1. Reading- packet AND read 15 minutes

2. Math- lesson 2 homework pages
3. Social Studies- study for test tomorrow
* Please check with your child for any Arabic/ Islamic Studies/ Computer homework.

Thursday, November 16

1. Reading- read 15 minutes 
2. Vocabulary- worksheet AND study words for test tomorrow
3. Spelling- 3 times each AND study words for test tomorrow
4. Grammar- worksheet AND study for test tomorrow  

5. Math- lesson 3 homework pages
* Please check with your child for any Arabic/ Turkish  homework. 


Friday, November 17

1. Writing- write 2 paragraphs (at least 5 sentences in each paragraph) on journal topic
2. Math- lesson 4 homework pages
3. Reading- read 15 minutes 

* Please check with your child for any Quran/ Islamic Studies/ Computer homework.

* Parents need to sign tests so students can return them on Monday.
* Empty out homework folders of ALL graded papers. Only new homework and tests should be in homework folders.
*The teacher holds the right to change homework assignments. Students will be told in advance if any changes will be made.

November 13-17 Tests

 
Thursday, November 16
1. Unit 2 Week 4 Comprehension Test
This test will mostly focus on point of view and suffixes with some questions on previous learned topics. Students should look over all graded papers on these topics to prepare. 


2. Social Studies Chapter 2 Test
Students should review all the vocabulary words in the chapter. They should also look over questions from each lesson and the chapter review. Students can review using graded worksheets from this chapter and their social studies books.

Friday, November 17
Unit 2 Week 4

1. Spelling/ Vocabulary Test
Students should study using their Spelling/Vocabulary "cheat sheet", spelling notebook, or graded worksheets.

2. Grammar Test
Students should review all the rules that are listed in the textbox on top of their grammar worksheets for this week.  

*The teacher holds the right to change test dates. Students will be told in advance if any changes will be made.


*If students are absent on a test day, they should be ready to take the test the day they come back to school.

2. Math Chapter 3 Test
This math test will be on subtraction. Students should know vocabulary words from this chapter. They should also know how to subtract 2, 3, and 4 digit numbers by regrouping and borrowing. They can review using graded worksheets on this topic as well as their math books.

Friday, November 10

1. Spelling/ Vocabulary Test
Students should study using their Spelling/Vocabulary "cheat sheet", spelling notebook, or graded worksheets.

Students should review all the rules for irregular and collective nouns that are listed in the textbox on top of their grammar worksheets for this week.  

*The teacher holds the right to change test dates. Students will be told in advance if any changes will be made.


*If students are absent on a test day, they should be ready to take the test the day they come back to school.
